Ghajini: the audio review.

Being a lazy typist, I wanted to make an audio review of this one. Turns out blogger doesn't allow you to upload & embed audio files so I had to go to imeem instead. Hope it works fine and you can decipher my accent & horrible mispronounciations without problem. Enjoy!

Interesting Review...
May be a world first too...

BTW have you watched the Original Original Memento...?

I agree with that Two Sanjay's thing..it does not fit somehow..

Whoa. Newfangled technology. XP

Anyway, I agree with you on what you said based on what I've seen so far. Namely: Interesting bits interspersed with boring crap. Woo!

Nithin - Doubt it's the first ever. Maybe for a Bollyblog. Maybe.

But yeah, it's just a really extreme discord there. I can somewhat stomach it in the Tamil movie because Tamil films can be very loud like that but in here.. eh.

Andromache - Me speaking into my webcam microphone? The dizzying heights of technology indeed!

Oh no! I feel I'm in the minority in really enjoying Ghajini! I don't know what to say - I guess I was coming in to this from a pure masala standpoint and the film entertained me enough that I stayed there. My mind never had time to wander and so never had time to find plot holes. :) The two Sanjays worked for me because the flashback Sanjay is SO INTENSE in everything he does and the now Sanjay is just the same, except he exists in eternal torment. The Kalpana relationship, to me, seemed like the one thing Sanjay had that was just his - on an emotional level. And to have that taken away, after discovering his humanity in "Bekha" was just wrenching... *sigh* Poor Sanjay...

I should do another post on Ghajini now that I've heard some more reactions to see if I can pick apart what I found so engaging.

I think a lot of us probably came at Ghajini from a masala perspective - I just think that everyone's preferred masala recipes are different.

Totally agree that the songs are awkward and the Sanjays don't connect.

My verification word is "unpanic" - as in, "Hey Sanjay, you need to unpanic and let your staff - or, novel concept, the police - take care of this Ghajini fellow"?

@Beth - I realize all our masala recipes are different, what I was saying that my masala mindset stayed so that plot didn't really matter to me.

I was carried along with the emotion. Obviously, that was not the case for everyone. :)

As long as a story makes emotional sense to me, I don't care about plot holes - no movie will ever be exactly like reality anyways...
